A bird lover delight

Jurong is on the west coast and a large percent of the people are employed in the indrustrial workforce there. I was not there to seek employment, I was there to see the birds at the Jurong Bird Park.
It is a spacious park with over 8,000 birds from all over the world.
It has one of the word's largest walk-in aviaries where you can see birds flying freely about the trees.
Arrive early so you can have breakfast with the birds.

A day in the park

The bird park was established in 1971 and has become one of Singapore's most popular attraction.

Ride the Monorail.

Get a ticket and hop aboard the monorail. This is the best way to see the park and be introduced to all the areas. After your tour get off and walk around. There is a lot to see..

What a great idea to have a rainforest thunderstorm in the South-East Asian Bird Aviary every day at 12.00. It must make the over 100 species of birds in this aviary feel right at home.

Great shots of colorful parrots and other birds! I like South American Toucan. World's largest walk-in aviary is a must there, I see. I didn't expect to see a monorail there :-)

I absolutely love this page on Jurong Park, from the main pic of the Secretary Bird with its long skiny legs to the Hornbills and Toucans. The pic of the underwater duck is interesting. Our Canadian loon also dives under water. Cool!
