  • We had a comfy ride from the airport to the hotel in a Mercedes taxi with their driver.
It was a short drive which was good as we were very tired after almost 24 hours of flying.
Needless to say we could probably have slept anywhere but luckily there was a good bed.

The rooms were nothing special but clean. The lobby is pretty. Pleasant staff.
I noticed several fight attendants coming and going so some airlines must favor this hotel also.

Unique Qualities: Beautiful park with pond, large pools and health facilities. A lovely place to take a stroll.
There is a free shuttle into town provided by the hotel but we were not that ambitious.

  • We arrived at this hotel to spend the last night of our first trip to Thailand.
We had wanted a hotel near the river and we were not disappointed.

The room was very nice and everyone at the hotel went out of their way to be of help.
    A very friendly staff.

There was a bowl of fruit and an orchid in our room when we arrived. I thought that was very nice.

Unique Qualities: The hotel is huge but we still got personal service. Our plane left quite early the following morning so they brought coffee and pastry to our door at 5:15am.

There are views of the river from the balcony and if that is not enough, they also provide a river cruise. You can take the short cruise for evening cocktails or a longer cruise for dinner.

Thank you for visiting my Bangkok page. I guess we will just have to return someday to see more of it.

Sounds like you managed to see and do quite a bit, even though it was such a short stay.

Thailand has been on my wish list for a long time, but I think the long flight might kill me!!

Sticky rice and Mango sounds delish. I gather the taxi driver eventually got you to your hotel - so it is a good idea to have a business card with you.
