Our first trip to Asia

by kyoub - last update: Nov 13, 2007

Our flight

Statue
We couldn’t believe that we were actually going to be spending two weeks in Thailand.
We did a lot of research on places that we wanted to see. We bought travel guide books and phrase books. We even got some CD’s so we could pronounce the words right..

Finally it was time for that dreaded 13 hr flight in economy. We saw some beautiful snowy scenery as we flew over Alaska. We couldn’t believe that we could see the sun shining brightly until we got a short distance from Narita, Japan.

We changed planes in Narita. Just 7 more hours in a plane and then we would be in Bangkok.

We must return

As it turned out we only spent the first and last night of our holiday in Bangkok.
We know that there is a lot to see and do there so we will have to return someday

Thank you for visiting my Bangkok page. I guess we will just have to return someday to see more of it.

Sounds like you managed to see and do quite a bit, even though it was such a short stay.

Thailand has been on my wish list for a long time, but I think the long flight might kill me!!

Sticky rice and Mango sounds delish. I gather the taxi driver eventually got you to your hotel - so it is a good idea to have a business card with you.
