Adelaide is often known as the "City of Churches" but as 99% of houses are single-storey, it was more like the city of bungalows. It has elegance and charm, beautiful parklands and a nice beach. It has a wonderful and picturesque Crciket ground. But Adelaide not the most exciting place I have ever visited - by a long way! Hot tourist attractions are somewhat few and far between. |

| Pros: | "Possibly the most beautiful Cricket ground in the world" | | Cons: | "A bit dull." | | In A Nutshell: | "Does EVERYONE here live in a bungalow?" |

Kojidaiyo Sat Feb 19, 2005 06:32 UTC Oh I thought Adelaide was great... I wasn't expecting a fast pace. but it was the BEST place to relax and enjoy a bit of luxurious downtime. | Diceman_ Tue Feb 8, 2005 13:31 UTC Why single Adelaide out for having endless suburbs of single story homes? The attractions are there if you know where to look. | alisonr Fri Jul 25, 2003 08:46 UTC Gees you make it sound like the end of the earth - FYI most people here in Australia live in single story homes, and we don't refer to them as bungalows! | CandS Sat May 3, 2003 02:08 UTC I agree...Adelaide doesn't have a lot to offer the tourist but it's still a nice place... |
