One of the great cities of the world! I love this place and if it wasn't so expensive I would try to live here .... with all the economic problems now maybe I can after all the peso is worth about 1/3 what it was 4 months ago. This is the cultural capital of Latin America and home to about 12 million people, fully 1/3 of the Argentine population. It has everything, including River Plate, one of the greatest futbol teams in the world. Each neighborhood is different. Boca is colorful, a little dangerous and very earthy. Recoleta is refined, Parisian, and elegant. You cannot do BA in a couple of days, you need a week to savor everything. Although they say it can be dangerous I have walked around at various hours of the day and night and never had a problem. |
