Azerbaijan ? Baku ? never heard of the place. well I'm living here now .
A country with a very rich history and a cocktail of natioanalities with a blend of Turkic,Russian and a dash of the middle east. A Muslim country where they brew a fantastic beer [Xirdilan] Vodka is not considered 'evil' the women go shopping dressed for a disco,mini skirts and low ,tight tops are acceptable and the Lada's have LA police sirens.
Fantastic place to spot weird things such as 'loaded Ladas' full of sheep or apples,strange statues,roadside butchers that hang the carcase from trees over the road so you need to swerve and cats riding on camels. TOP STUFF -LOVE IT. And no one visits here!

Baku city has thousands of cats ,which must be tough for the Azerbi rats and mice. Cats obviously are the king of the animals in the city but also in the countryside. This 'moggy' was seen on his perch on a camel followed by a train of cows sheep and goats coming down from the mountainside near Lahic.He may have owned the entire flock and herd!

the story goes"back in the 90's they where building a bridge to this town and there was a revolution .The Russians packed up their toys and left and that was the end of the bridge."
