    • Favorite Thing: A promenade runs most of the way along Dorsoduoro and is a good place (the only place?) for a more or less straight* and uncrowded stroll in the central area. Plus, of course the open views to Giudecca and other islands.

    * With loads of bridges, of course.

    • Favorite Thing: This was the bottom of my street in Venice, San Vio. Relatively wide, it starts near the Accademia, passes my hotel (Hotel American) and continues to the south of Dorsoduoro, through a mainly residential area.

     When I visited Venice on a daytrip it was a hot day in the end of July and it was absolutly crowded. It is a nice city though! Have a great weekend David!
