"Acapulco" Acapulco by Srechko

I spent 3 days in Acapulco during my 2 month long Mexico & Central America journey. This town was not on my original itinerary, but since Oaxaca was not considered safe at the time, I changed my route a little and ended up in Acapulco.

I haven't seen anything exceptionally interesting here. Acapulco is a big dirty city with small Zocalo and a 20 km long tourist zone. There are different kinds of beaches, more and less touristy ones, sand is fine and at least while I was there, water was warm and blurry.

The most attractive part of the town is the old part located close to Zocalo, on the hill from. There is a beautiful view on entire Acapulco bay from there. Cliffs located in the area are used for diving exhibitions.
