"Most beautiful mexican town I've seen" San Cristóbal de Las Casas by Srechko

I spent 4 days in San Cristobal during my 2 month long Mexico & Central America trip.

This town is amazingly beautiful, it is located high in the mountains at 2100m a.s.l. and here I experienced severe Mexican winter. Entire town is built by spanish colonial system, houses are colorful and small, and streets are very clean.

Nights and mornings were very cold (close to 0C) but days were sunny and warm. There are several pretty plazas in the town and they are great for people watching. Mayas from surrounding villages come to town to sell their goodies.

Zinacantan

Town is also a great starting point to do several interesting tours / explorations. While I was there, I went to Sumidero Canyon and Tuxtla Gutierrez zoo (independently) and did Maya villages, and Palenque tour. Yes - it was busy 4 days in San Cristobal.
