Well, Pula is my birth place. But these pages are not about Pula, they are about Porec, place where I grew up and where most of my memories are kept. I am a witness of how much Porec developed during last 30 years to become one of the most visited places in Croatia and its tourism oasis no.1. I can't say I like seeing how commercialized it got over years, but due to its beauty there was no other choice, I guess.
Porec is located strategically in the middle of peninsula Istria's coast, fairly close to larger cities like Pula and Rijeka and to Slovenian and Italian borders. From Porec you can easily explore entire Istria and see some of its precious small coastal and inland villages and towns in available daily excursions |
