Honestly I don’t think this qualifies as a town or as a village as I haven’t seen anything that resembles an urban environment. Beautiful beachfront is lined with hotels, private pensions, and private houses, but no signs of actual everyday life are existent there. I would classify El Campello more as a tourist resort sort of place. |
| | Beautiful beach Beach is the most beautiful one I saw in Spain. Beach is 100 m wide, sand is whiter and water is clearer than in east and south coast end. Seaside promenade is great for evening walks. The only downfall is that everything looked kind of dead. It was noticeable that most tourists here were either seniors of families. |
Train This train was such a refreshment to a normally sleepy environment of Campello. Its tracks go all along the beachfront and connect Alicante with other northern coastal towns like Benidorm or Denia. For a few euros, in 20 minutes you are in Alicante. Train is modern, fast, and comfortable and adds to the authentic experience. Highly recommended!!! | | |

Aitana Thu May 28, 2009 20:04 UTC Hi Srechko. Nice to see a page of Campello. The village of Campello is almost 4 km to the north, you were at Playa de Muchavista, that is part of the municipality of Campello but I'm afraid you missed the village! Nice page anyway. |
