Granada in summer

General Impressions

Walk on Albaicin
Well we only spent one night here but I can say that this town created both the best and the scariest memory during our trip through Spain. The best as I loved the hippy, relaxed, and un-touristy atmosphere of this town and the scariest as at one point I felt so desperate for not being able to find a parking spot that I almost wanted to leave and go back to where I came from...
Panoramic view from Alhambra

The good

Exploring Granada was very exciting as while you walk around you run into these panoramic views spots, beautiful hidden placas, and get to experience lively authentic local atmosphere.

Alhambra, the anctient place of Moorish Monarchs was the highlight of course - and left us all speechless.
Walking around

The bad

Geez I never expected I'll ever be looking for a parking spot for 2 hours and then give up....See my warnings and dangers tip for more details on this happy ending story.

The heat also belongs to this category. We arrived to Granada around 5pm - end of June - it was 39C - no wind.

Pros:"Very authentic, Alhambra of course"
Cons:"No place to park - traffic, heat"
In A Nutshell:"Amazing - definitely want to go back"

Ha! Funny story about the parking situation. We took the train so we didn't run into that problem. Looking foward to reading more about your trip!
