Not as attractive as Dubai but still worth seeing | View of Abu Dhabi from the flat where I stayed |
Abu Dhabi is UAE capital and is around 1.5 hours away from Dubai.
I stayed here for 2 weeks while visiting my family that lives there.
I wasn't too impressed by this city's architecture as I was by its cleanliness. Abu Dhabi is a typical Arabic city with a few tourist attractions and some examples of Middle Eastern luxury. It is the major oil industry centre of the Emirates.
A few days I spent walking around and discovering the city on foot however soon I figured that it is more interesting to spend time on the beach instead as city is not that attractive (at least not comparing to Dubai). |
| | City does have some attractions interesting for tourists like me who have never been to this part of the world. There are many impressive mosques, a few oriental markets, interesting Petroleum Exhibition, and other places to visit. |
| | City is located entirely on an island so it is very easy to find your way around. |

| Pros: | "Clean, safe, and authentic Arabic city" | | Cons: | "Kinda boring if you are looking for fun and party" | | In A Nutshell: | "Ok city - but head to Dubai!" |
