After my first visit to Dubai, it became obvious that Abu Dhabi and Dubai don't have much in common.
Dubai is a cosmopolitan, new, and attractive city and makes an amuzing destination for all types of travellers. |
| | Mix of old and new Nowhere have I seen such a contrast between traditional and contemporary and West and East as in Dubai. You can see scenes like this one on the photo and a kilometer away the most contemporary skyscrapers, man made islands, and other architectural wonders (i.e. indoor ski center). |
Safe and clean city with beautiful beaches One thing in common for all city areas is that I felt equally safe wherever I went.
Beach is also impressive even though the water was kind of chilly.
City is constantly developing (there is a huge construction site in the city susburbs) and it would be fun to go back in a few years and see new architecural miracles. | | |

Marie-France Sat Feb 25, 2006 23:28 UTC Cool page! I was just reading about Dubai today in the travel section of the Toronto Star. It sounds like it's becoming some sort of middle eastern Vegas!! |
