Getting to Monteverde | 35 km distance at 25 km/hour |
After we finished our Arenal Volcano visit, we continued our trip towards Monteverde travelling all around Arenal Lake. Road got worse while we were approaching Arenal town. Potholes were getting bigger and deeper. It got little better around TIlaran but final 35km were strictly on gravel road and it took us around 1.5 hours to get to Santa Elena from Tilaran. |
| | Views on the road were magnificant though... |
| | Finally there Monteverde is the most famous by its Biological Preserve (Rain Forest) National Park.
We originally planned on staying here for 3 days, but later we figured that 2 days were enough. We missed asphalt.... |
