"Small quiet town on the coast" Corozal by Srechko

Corozal Travel Guide: 13 reviews and 18 photos

As soon as I saw this town I knew I was going to like it. It is on the coast, however it does not have a beach. Seaside is either stoney or asphalted. There is a small market, Zocalo, and one can feel Mexico is close. Signs are mostly in spanish and people speak spanish in addition to english.

There were not many tourists there, and there are noticably many chinese stores and restaurant which I found little surprising.

As an interesting thing, on the main square there were hundreds of small freaky and loud black birds - I felt like I was in Hitchkok movie.
