So what is below Machupicchu?

by Srechko - last update: Dec 5, 2002

Don't miss it! (like you ever could...)

Main street and train track in village
Aguas Calientes - a village that would most definitely be missed when visiting Peru if its location was different. But this way you can not miss it when returning from Machupicchu. So we spent one day here, and that was enough to get a piece of experience.

That day was the only day during our stay in Peru where we did absolutely nothing. We had some short hiking plans for today, but during our breakfast we figured that we are at the point where walking wasn't considered kind of entertainment anymore.

We had a very good lunch in another restaurant, good page and nice photos. The hot springs looked indeed a bit disappointing, but it was a great relaxing moment after the Inca trail,

We ate there too. We didn't have a problem and the food was good.
