Dvor, Sremska Kamenica - Sremska Kamenica

Sremska Kamenica, once a Danube village on Fruska Gora slopes is now integral part of Novi Sad (check out my Novi Sad page) and also on the doorstep of the Fruska Gora National Park (Check out my FGNP page). It's very lovely and interesting part of town and also very importan because of the 3 institutions that are located there. There are Health Institutes of Cardiology, Pulomogy and Oncology, one of the best in county and in region also. There are only Secondary school for police officers and "SOS childrens village" for childrens that are without parental care. In Sremska Kamenica is also seat of provincial Hydrometheorological centre and also Headquarters of Fruska Gora National Park.

Beside that institutions Sremska Kamenica also has to offer historical and cultural heritage. The most important are "Zmaj" museum-open in birth house of Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj, famouse poet, doctor and lawer from XIX century. There are also noble palace from XVIII century, some churches of different rites, family houses and two very important parks that are under state protection: Kamenicki park and Institutski park.

My house is situtated on the edge of Kamenicki park and I using every moment I can to spend it in park with my dogs. This photo I took yeasterday (mid February) and there you could see my new pet-Paja.
