Admission stood at AUD 49, but where else in the world can you see Steve Irwin's crocodiles and his personal collections from the wild. Conservation is the main idea here, with animal shows emphasizing on educating the public, esp. children on protecting wild life. A wonderful experience!

Crikey, Steve! Crikey!

The whole world lost a hero and as they say, the animals lost a friend. I loved this section of the zoo where there is a well-maintained exhibit of all generous contributions and autographs of fans which had poured in during the sad occasion.

• Pros:You can spend the whole day here and not die of starvation! Food's good!
• Cons:It's such a crowd puller
• In a nutshell:Don't bother, just head straight for the zoo!
