  • Located about 45 miles west of Portland off I-84 in Cascade Locks, the Columbia Sternwheeler is the best way to see the spectacular Columbia Gorge. The boatride will take you approximately 2 hours. Seeing the Columbia Gorge from the Columbia River is worth the price of admission. The Columbia Sternwheeler also offers a brunch and a dinner excursions as well. The cost for just the excursion is $15 per person.

Its great that you were able to experience Rose Festival. I like to tour the Rose Garden and the court about a month before the festival. So peaceful up there. =^oo^=

Very interesting page, beautiful area and amazing pictures in travelogues! I like Upper Multnomah Falls pic especially. Hmm... I was 2-3 weeks too early for rose festival :-(.
