  • Located at the Hotel Paris, the Eiffel Tower is a replica of the one in Paris, France. It towers up to a height of 50 stories. A great place to get a panaramic picture of the Southern part of the Las Vegas Strip. Admission to the Eiffel Tower is $9. Tickets are available in the gift shop by the bridge.

  • The Belaggio is one of the most expensive hotels in Vegas. It is most known for the fountains in front of the main building. It also has a nice conservatory with flowers and a replica of the Liberty Bell with an Eagle perched on top of it.

  • Being that I live near New York City and am able to see it on a frequent basis, it was odd to see a replica of it. Some things do look totally fake, like the Empire State Building. However, I thought they did a nice job replicating the Statue of Liberty. Kind of odd not seeing it surrounded by water. The New York, New York is unique because it has a huge arcade with a roller coster, which circles around the building. I guess this was supposed to replicate Coney Island. The roller coster costs $12 per ride during weekends and $10 per ride during the week.

  • There is one thing that I can say about the MGM Grand, it is huge!!! I was walking in there for hours looking for things. I liked the lions in the middle of the casino. It also has lots of entertainment there. For instance, George Carlin was doing a stand up comedian show while I was there (Late May 2004). There are also many major boxing matches from this building.

  • The Excalibur's theme is Old England. This hotel has a nice shopping arcade of about 20 stores. There is even a McDonald's and Taco Bell in this hotel. This hotel is connected to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay by tram.

  • The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is at the southern end of the Las Vegas trip. While I was there, this was the casino with the most activity. Prince was doing a big concert that night for charity. There were a lot of big name stars such as Tiger Woods and Jessica Alba. It is also another major boxing venue in Las Vegas. It is connected to the Luxor and the Excalibur by tram. There is a nice little mall that runs between Mandalay Bay and the Luxor. I also accidently ended up in the pool area here too. The pool area was very impressive.

  • The Luxor Amusement area is a great place to take the kids. There are 3-D movies, haunted mansion ride, an arcade, and other stuff to keep your kid occupied. Rides run from $5 to $10 dollars. There is also a nice museum featuring ancient Egypt.

  • Being poolside is just as much a Las Vegas experience as anything. I have only seen the Mandalay Bay pool (By accident) and the Luxor. The Luxor had 6 different pools including a pyramid in the middle of one pool complex. The only thing that stunk about the Luxor pool is that the pool never goes deeper than 3 1/2 ft. I personally like a pool where you can jump into it. There were 4 hot tubs there as well.

  • Here is the front of the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino. I did not go into the casino itself (My feet were starting to get tired at this point). I was most impressed with the fountain in front of the hotel. It shows that this was definitely a classy place.

Joe, thanks for looking at my page. I will be in Vegas this fall and hope to have enough shoe power as you did to see all the casinos. I keep watching for Bellagio specials.
