When I visited Milan, I had reserved a free day to visit Lugano. It was the last day of my vacations, so I was so tired, but this beautiful town enchanted me instantily.
My friends and I stayed there for 8 hours and we hadn´t got a guidebook, so we decided to walk around and take a boat tour of Lake Lugano, just enjoy what the city offers to us. Because of that, I can´t offer good tips, but I have beautiful pictures which can give you an idea of this great city.-

Switzerland is indeed very nice. I never visited Lugano, but in some ways your photos and tips remind me of Geneva and Lausanne. It's just like Michael_D said in his comment. :-)
