Florence, the birthplace of the Renassiance, the heart of Tuscany and a delight for the senses.-
Florence is small enough to walk everywhere. In the historic center of Florence traffic is limited to taxis, buses and residents, which makes walking quite easy.- It's easy to plan your own sightseeing itineraries with the help of a good guidebook and a map. Guided tours are worth considering if you have limited time.-
And take the time to enjoy it's nightlife: sit in a trattoria drinking Chianti and eating pasta, watching the crowds meander by.
When visiting churches in Florence, and Italy in general, you have to have your shoulders and legs covered to be let into the church or cathedral.- |
