  • Favorite Thing: It´s a beautiful square, always full of tourists and street artists. The fountains are really nice with a big mass of water that gives a special sound to the place. If you have enough money, you should sit in one of the cafés around the square, but they´re very expensive.-
At night if you want to have dinner, you should go early, not later than 9.00 p.m., because these cafés close early - at about 12.00 p.m. - and if you go after 9.00, there isn´t a good variety of food.-

  • Favorite Thing: Take your time to enjoy the atmosphere of this place, sitting on one of the stone benchs that you can find there, and have a good time with the street artists that are really a lot.-

  • Favorite Thing: This is one of the best kept of Roman monuments, built by Agripa in 27 (b.c.). Inside you can find the tombs of Rafael and the kings of Italy, like Vittorio Emanuele.-

Fondest Memory: It´s an amazing building, with an incredible construction if you think that it is a very ancient building.

  • Favorite Thing: This fountain was designed by Nicola Salvi in the 18th century and became famous in Federico Fellini´s movie: "La Dolce Vita". Do you remember Anita Ekberg´s famous splash? . In the centre of the fountain you can find an image of Neptune, God of the Sea.-
The fountain is located near the Spain Square and the Navona Square
    .-

    .-

Fondest Memory: It´s a huge fountain, unique for its large size and for its beauty. You should sit there for a while and see the astonished faces of the tourists when they see the fountain. The place where the fountain was built is too small, and because of that, the view of the fountain is even more magnificient.- There is a very nice church, just opposite the fountain – la Santi Vicenzo e Anastasio – that you shoud visit.-

  • Favorite Thing: "The sitting room" of the city. You can sit on the stairway and, from there you can see Via Condotti - one of the most exclusive shopping streets in Rome. -
In the upper part of the stairs, there is a church - Trinitá dei Monti -, and bottom of the stairs you can see a fountain: "Della Barcaccia" (Fountain of the Old Boat), designed by Bernini´s father, that compared to the other fountains in the city isn´t attractive at all.-

    Colosseum: The Colisseum

  • Favorite Thing: The bigger roman amphitheatre, built in 72 AD. In despite of the ruins, it´s a magnificient building.
You should hire the local guide, who are anthropologists, that make you focus on the really important details, and let you know the truth of what "really" happened there.-

  • Favorite Thing: After the fire in 64 ac, Nerón began to built the Domus Area. His intention was transform a big part of the urban centre in a grandiose villa. The palace that had built there was destroyed by his sucessor, but in this days it´s a beautiful area, and from there you can see nice wies of the Colisseum.-

    Roman Forums: Foro Romano

  • Favorite Thing: The center of all political, religious, and commercial affairs in the ancient world.-
A very useful piece of advice: when you go there, don´t forget to take a lot of water, because you have no place to buy, and wear old clothes because you will get out of this place totally dirty, because of the dust of this place.-

  • Favorite Thing: They´re amazing underground galleries created by the ancient romans to bury their dead, but the catacombs became a place to go on a pilgrimage.-
They´re built in four different levels and only part of them has been explored. The dead people were buried to in wall tombs, known as "loculli".-

Fondest Memory: Please, don´t miss this incredible place. It´s awesome to see the cript of St. Cecilia, who was buried there until 820 ac,and then pope Paschal I had her remains transferred to Trastevere, in the basilica dedicated to the Saint.-

  • Favorite Thing: After the unification of Italy in 1870, it became the official residence of the king, then in 1947 of the president of the republic.- Beside the palace there is a stairway that you can use to go to the Trevi Fountain.-
