I visited Venice for two days in July, 2000. Entirely built on water, Venice is unlike any other town.-
Itīs one of the most romantic cities Iīve ever visited, and is so special, because you wonīt find cars or roads and you will see the people who live there, going about their daily affairs in vaporetti (water buses), aboard the traghetti (traditional gondola ferries) that ply between the banks of the Grand Canal, in the campi (squares), and along the narrow Venetian streets.-
I think July isnīt the best time to visit, because is really crowded, but in despite of that, itīs a good time to enjoy the Gran Canal and the outdoor cafés.- |
