Paris is a fantastic city, full of history and culture. Its architecture is beautiful and, above all, smart.-
I went to Paris in summmer, july 2001, and the weather was really nice. I could enjoy many sunny days visiting cafés and bistrots in the open-air and going sightseeing around the wonderful French squares, gardens and parks.-
In summer, days are longer because it starts to get dark at about 9:00 om or later. Consequently, after lunch, you have enough time to go back to the hotel and rest for a while, then, still have time to visit other places.-
I hope to come back someday.-

París es una ciudad fantástica, llena de historia y cultura. Su arquitectura, con sus edificaciones de poca altura, es muy bella y fundamentalmente elegante, como elegantes son sus calles comerciales y sus tiendas. Hay en todo París un cuidado por el detalle, por la limpieza y eso resalta la belleza de esta ciudad.
En mi caso, la visité en pleno verano - Julio 2.001 - y el clima fue muy benigno, con muchos días de sol que permitian disfrutar de sus cafés y bistrots al aire libre, tan típicos de París, o, aunque más no sea, sentarse en alguna de sus plazas o jardines a disfrutar un momento de relax en una de las ciudades más lindas del mundo.-
En verano los días son muy largos, el sol no se esconde sino hasta las 9.00 pm. ó más tarde aún. Ello permite, que, luego de almorzar, uno pueda volver al hotel y descansar un rato, porque la actividad en París no termina temprano.-
París merece no sólo una visita, sino varias, así que estoy segura de que algún día volveré.-

Pros:Es bella, está muy cuidada y tiene un buen sistema de transporte
Cons:Es una ciudad bastante cara.

Love your photos, particularly those of the Palais Garnier. What a truly magnificent building especially inside. Saw the ballet there, just lovely!

Great description of one of my favourite cities. J'aime Paris :) Btw the Winged Victory was my biggest Louvre impression, it's really stunning.
