Villavicencio Hotel - Mendoza

Villavicencio Hotel

Villavicencio Villavicencio Review

Lying 51 km. to the north of Mendoza city, in an enclosed area of 72,000 hectareas, you can find Villavicencio, which offers its termal waters. Located in an ecologically preserved area, the Villavicencio spa is the most widely known picture appearing on Mendoza´s postcard. It´s situated on the primitive international road to Chile. The treasure of the place is its mineral water spring, situated at an elevation of 1,750 m. Above sea level, and recommended to improve life quality for its ability to replace the liquids and the mineral used up by the body after intensive physical effort.-

The way of the 365 curves - Mendoza

The way of the 365 curves

Enjoy the way of the 365 curves

You should enjoy this tour. Leaving the city of Mendoza, the city of Las Heras is crossed until arriving at the monument to Canota, where the San Martin (Argentina's Independence Hero ) troops divided, its columns for the crossing to Chile. More ahead it's located Villavicencio with a modern mineral water plant and an old hotel. The old way of the 365 curves or the snails as it is usually called leading to Chile begins there . After a pronounced ascent, it is arrived at the highest point: the Cross of Paramillo ( "Cruz de Paramillo") at 3,000 meters above the sea level . Next, the way descends to the Uspallata valley , arriving at the village after 30 kilometers of travel . In the passage is found the Tunduqueral hill (at 7 kms. of Uspallata), with rupestrian paintings 1,000 years old belonging to the Huarpes Indians who inhabited this zone considered sacred where they used to carry out their religious ceremonies. By the same way there is a reserve of petrified Araucarias, of around 200 years of antiquity, discovered by the English naturalist Charles Darwin
