Wonder of the World | Portion of lower Falls as viewed from the water. |
The spectacular Iguaçu Falls, most advantageously viewed from the Brazilian side of the border between Argentina and Brazil, are a true wonder. This photo shows only a small fraction of the numerous cascades, which are actually located on the Argentinian side of the border. |
| View in the direction of the main falls. |
| | Environmental Awareness The Brazilian government, through it's environmental agency, IBAMA has done an excellent job in allowing limited access to this natural wonder. This is refreshing, expecially considering the proliferation of personal vehicles in the national parks of the United States. For a reasonable fee, visitors park their personal vehicles at a very beautiful visitor's center, and are driven on new and clean double-decker, open-air busses to the falls. |
