I had wanted to go to Japan for quite a while. Finally, after my four months in HK, on my way back to Canada, I stopped off in Tokyo for a few days, including New Year's Day 1999, which I rang in at Asakusa. Clean, proper, even surreal - just as I had imagined it. |
