Novelty /Souvenir Store.: Expensive, but what can you do?
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Name of Shop: Banff Ave

The stores and malls all along Banff Ave are full of everything you can imagine. Most ly touristy trinkets of course, but there's also a Gap store for example. Not as expensive as stores in even more remote locations, but it is generally pretty pricy. Some smaller, out-of-the-way stores inside malls may have better deals.

What To Buy: If you'll be going to other places (Calgary, Edmonton, etc) then wait until you're in a big city before you buy the generic souvenirs. If you're looking for something uniquely Banff, then you may have to buy it there.

    Specialty Stores: Bovine, devine
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Name of Shop: Cows

I believe this started as an ice cream store, but it has now expanded to a store that sells anything and everything bovine. Cow t-shirts, cookie jars, backpacks. Tres cute! Awesome window display too. If you're browsing on Banff Ave, stop by for sure. To be honest, I've never tried their ice cream, so can't comment.

What To Buy: THE store to get those cow-print pajamas that you know you've always wanted.

What To Pay: Not too bad for a novelty store in a resort town.
