    Spectacular mountains + Lots of snow + Beautiful weather = 3 great ski hills!

    Banff has 3 ski hills. In order from biggest to smallest: Lake Louise (45 min from town of Banff), Sunshine (15 min from town of Banff), and Norquay (5 min from town of Banff). Norquay is considerably smaller than the other two, but is a bit cheaper. Lake Louise is renowned for its incredible scenary and its size, and Sunshine for its all-natural snow.

    Just across the border, in BC, there are also quite a few decent ski resorts within a 2 to 3 hour drive from Banff.

    I have an 'album' in my main page with my thoughts on some of the ski resorts I have been to.

    Equipment: You can rent on the hills. The prices aren't ridiculous, but you can probably find a better deal in Canmore or Calgary and bring them with you.

     Johnston Canyon Upper Falls looks fantastic! Your photo of the glass ball is pretty cool! Banff is such a beautiful area! I haven't been through there in years!
