"A nice place to stop on a bike ride" Carlton by kc0ltv
Carlton Travel Guide: 1 reviews and 3 photos
Carlton is a small town (population 810) on the excellent Willard Munger, the Duluth - Hinckley segment of which is proudly the longest paved trail in the world. used by cyclists, in-line skaters, and pedestrians in the warmer months, and by snowmobilers during the winter. It lies about 15 miles from Duluth (probably the busiest section of the trail) and 55 from Hinckley, and makes for a good place to stop to re-fuel, whether with gas, food, bottled water, or an energy drink. There isn't much else here that I'm aware of, but it is your last major town until Duluth.
