If you travel by bus or car to Velikii Novgorod or St.Pete you will definetely make a stop in this city. And you will have an excursion there you will not regret. It is really beautifully planned on the hills of the river and have plenty of classical style buildings and churches. And also it has a warm and peaceful atmosphere, especially after Moscow.
