My hometown... where I was born and raised... look for lots more details on this page after I get back from France. By the way, this is a picture taken in August 2001 of the Water Tower, the John Hancock Building and Water Tower Place (shopping!). A bit of history... the Water Tower was one of the few buildings remaining after the Chicago Fire of 1871 (the fire is one of the four stars on the Chicago city flag). And no, Mrs. O'Leary's cow was not to blame for the fire, though today the Chicago Fire Department has a training facility where her barn was thought to have stood.
