The International Nijmegen Four Days marches

Ever year Nijmegen is the home base for world's largest walking event, and is also one of the world's largest sporting events. Named the The International Nijmegen Four Days’ Marches. Participants can choose to walk distances from 30 40 or 50 kilometres per day for four days in a row.Every year the walk starts on the third tuesday in July.
Except of the marches also the summer festival is taking place, this means that there are many live performances, fireworks, markets, terraces and international visitors in the city. Please notice that if you are planning to visit Nijmegen during this week the best way of transportation is by train. Many of the roads are closed because of the marches. If you are Visiting Nijmegen during the festival and want to meet me please drop me a line.

Every October the a two week fair is hold in the city centre, This year it was the first time my sister Mariel went with me!

Monday and Saturday Market

There is a big market in the centre of Nijmegen on every Monday and Saturday.
The market is located on the market square, called Grote markt.
