Luxembourg Region and other Luxembourg General Tips

Favorite Thing: Luxembourg region is the region of the capital city and its surroundings. I haven't been further than the Luxembourg City and Mersch in this region, so I can't really tell if there is something else besides that... and from what I've read, it doesn't seem to be a particularly apealing region. Lux City is a definite must, and the rest, well, you can move to other regions! :-)

Favorite Thing: This is a very big region, with a lot of things to see! The main spots are Clervaux, Vianden, Esch-sur-Sure, Bourscheid castle, etc. It's a beautiful region with green fields and picturesque villages and towns, lots of castles, rivers, a lake and Natural Park...

Favorite Thing: Moselle is the land of the wine! It's the region along the Moselle river, with hilly slopes of vineyards, cute little towns and exuberant tourism. Everyone rushes to Moselle river, and the towns of Remich , Grevenmacher, Wasserbillig... are full of camps, ships, boats... Wine cellars and caves of Moselle are world famous, especially the sparkling wine.

Favorite Thing: This region is called Little Switzerland, for its exuberant nature. It's famous for the waterfalls, slopes, strange rock formations with morbid names, forests and charming towns. There are also nice castles, like Larochette and Beaufort. Do not miss Echternach, a beautiful town on the German border!

Favorite Thing: The name says it all, this region got its name by the colour of its rocks - crimson red! I haven't been to this region, but I've seen the photos of Red Rocks, it's really impressive! Other interersting places are a few museums (National Mine Museum, Agricultural Museum, Carriage Museum), Park of the Marvels, etc...

Favorite Thing: This is something very useful and practical. it allows you to travel all around Luxembourg in all means of transport (bus/train) as much as you want for free, plus free admission to lots of attractions and sightseeing spots, museums, etc. Also, there are big discounts on others.
Prices:
1 day - 9 EUR
2 days - 16 EUR
3 days - 22 EUR
There is also family card option.

Favorite Thing: Everywhere on Moselle you'll find clusters of swans and ducks. Many will be accustomed to people and if you start feeding them they'll surround you and run after you!

Favorite Thing: Moselle river is especially broad in Remich, and there it's extremely "used" - very dense camping sites, boat rides, cruises, water scooter, people walking by the river... In the outskirts it's very still and calm, like this scene, in front of Caves St. Martin.
