One of the three big lakes in northern Italy, charming and chic lake Maggiore is just beneath the Alps but in spite of that offering a wonderful mild climate that attractis tourists all year round, and boosts the tropical vegetation, such as palm trees and even bamboo!

The views are spectacular, villas so luxurious, towns so charming, it;s a real fairy tale place!

This is a view on the lake Maggiore from the air. I took a flight in the mini-plane around the lake, and it was SPECTACULAR!!!

Thank you for the great tips. I was wondering if the drive from Lago di Como to Maggiore would be worth it. Thanks for the reassuring descriptions. We will definitely go now.
