Enormously big city. I don't know if some people would really come here for a tourist trip? Unbelievably expensive city. Taxi starts with 6$ for first 2 km. A 20 min distance takes 20$. Forget about going to airport, 250$. Even bus to/from airport is 50$. I can’t believe my eyes while people making shopping in the markets. Prices at least two times expensive then a normal city. Of course I am not comparing this city with Geneva or other expensive European cities. They are also expensive, but at least you could survive there.
If you forget about the prices, it is an interesting country. Most of them could not speak English. But thanks government for English signs. People are so respected to each other and there is an excellent structure in the society. |
| | City Tour I took an afternoon tour but I didn't satisfied. There just a few places to go and if you would spend some more time in the monorail, you can do it by yourself. But if you have limited time like me, you should take this ticket. River tour didn’t give me much idea. There is nothing in the city, except huge buildings. |
| | Kan-Non Temple Even most of the Japanese (as far as I know) are Shinto’s, this is a Buddhist temple. (You can find details in other people’s comments). According to my guide, it is usually very crowded. Several times a year (i.e. new year), people come here for praying. Sometimes tens of thousands! I was lucky; there were no too much people around. |
