New York City Travel Guide: 15,551 reviews and 30,943 photos

How can one begin to describe New York City? There are so many words I could think off to put in here, but instead I’m going to let my pictures do my talking. I just loved the city! I had the opportunity to visit for nine days in early September of 2002. The weather had just begun to turn from the inferno of the summer, yet it wasn't as cold as the desolated winter. I don't know what the best time to see the city is, but if in doubt, go in September :).

Anyway, New York City has many things to offer. What came to a surprise to me was how affordable the city. Affordable? Yes, that's right! Most of the interesting things one can do in New York City are free, and some of the others are really affordable. I even manage to see a live Yankees game at Yankees stadium for under $15 USD!!! That's a bargain if you ask me :).

Just out of curiousity, where was this hostel in Bklyn? Having lived there, I can't picture a hostel in a particularly bad neighborhood.
