In some of the remote off-the-beaten path areas of Peru, your only transport option might be to share a taxi with other locals. This comes out to about $1 USD per hour. It may end up to be a kewl adventure. Check out the pic taken inside a mussle car in the Coastal Desert Road of Peru (taken somewhere north of Casma, en route to Casma).
