What can I say about Ecuador? This small country is jammed between Colombia and Peru, yet it contains most of the climates known on Earth. On one day you can visit the towering icy Andes and the humid tropical Amazon jungle. Add to that an amazing coast and the Gallapagos Islands and you begin to imagine the greatness found in Ecuador.

I spent 2 weeks in mainland Ecuador during my 2001 Journeys through Latin America. I have posted my travelogue in here along with several tips. Enjoy!

Quilotoa is one of my favorite places too. I agree that it is a very rich cultural experience. Your pictures are lovely too.
