My 2001 Journeys in Latin America took me all the way to Northern Chile. I got to walk and see the infamous Desierto de Atacama, the driest desert on Earth!

Like you, Chile's sheer length defeated us and we opted for the south - I'd love to see the desert and the north tho. We did get to Easter Island however - magic! leyle

I'm glad you liked Chile. Now you've got to see the rest... One thing, although Atacama desert is the driest, you've got to see it after a rain. Millions of colorful flowers come to live. That, every 6 or 7 years.
