Texas is a state of its own. It has everything you are looking for and more. From a casual walk in downtown San Antonio to a multi-day trek in the beautiful scenery of Big Bend if you want adventure while still maintaining the close ties to civilization this State has it both. The day of the horseback riding cowboys are long gone and today the cowboys ride in full-cab, gas guzzling trucks that rule the roads. Driving is essential to reach all of the corners of this State.
