St. Pete local market: Often the hidden treasures are the best :)

As we had time to kill before they opened the Dostoevsky Museum in St. Pete, Anabela and I entered this colorful market. It was a good way to kill some time. Plus we got to see some of the locals in action. Check out this vendor. Ironically, this market was more interestesting then the museum itself :).

Vernisazh Market in Moscow: Best Souvenir Market in Moscow

I woke up bright and early the next day to visit the Vernisazh Market at Izmaylovsky Park. The outdoor market is packed with stalls selling decorative art, beautiful hand-crafted goods, soviet memorabilia, antiques, and more. It was a nice place to spend the morning. I bought a typical tacky Russian Hat and a matryoshkas doll.

What to buy: -Souvenirs
-Crafts
-Soviet and Russian Memorabilia
-Antiques (check import/export laws)

What to pay: -Arrive early to get the good deals. Prices double or tripple after 10 AM or 11AM when the main tourist crowd arrives.
-Shop around and Haggle!
