Who would have thought the world could stop for a day? On September 11, 2001 the United States faced one of its grimmest days in history. I hadn't seen TV in over a month, yet that day I woke up in a hostel with CNN. Let me tell you I watched as the events unfold live on TV. After watching for half a day, I venture out to see the beautiful city of Quito. This day will remain engrained in my mind, not for the horrors of it, but for the beauty that humankind can create. Quito is indeed a great city.
