Sleepy town of Aiquile

by darthmilmo - last update: Sep 29, 2002

I wanted to experience a local weekend market in Bolivia so I chose to visit the town of Aiquile. It is a small town with nothing much to do. However, I did get to see its vast Sunday Market, where all sort of products could be bought.

Even the sleepiest of towns can come alive on Market day!! Especially if the locals are pumped up on Coca Leaves!! hahaha

Electronics in the market? Not bad... I can't find anything other than produce in some of those highland markets in Indonesia. Is coca one of the cure of altitude sickness?
