Finland is a land of Nokia, Santa Claus and F1 drivers, or so I am been told in my trips.
Actually Finland is a land of forests, pure air, lakes and snow. Finland is called to the "leading information society", due to high penetration of mobile phones labeled by Nokia. But the brand just derives from the long distances between people due to forests and lakes.
The Nature of Finland also explains why there are so many famous drivers of rally from Finland. Roads are tricky and challenging and. Just for going to local store for getting milk or meat, many Finns get valuable driving practise everyday.
For communications, Finland just developed the concept of mobile communication devices earlier than most of the countries of the wolrd.
Because I live in Finland, I feel quite incapable to describe to my country to other VT members. As known, foreigners make always the best notifications of how-to and so on, instead of locals. There are many things, familiar to me, but odd essentialty to the traveler. So I might not perceive the things like the eyes of the traveler - as I make in other countries.
With this perspect in mind, I have put some tips into VT, which might be not so obvious or not covered by other VT members. |
