| No telelense can capture the higheness of Positano |
Layered onto the Amalfi coast, one of the most beautiful coastal line in Europe, Positano mountain village is a stunning and romantic experience. Someone might consider it as a tourist trap, but for me it was one of the most beautiful village I have seen in nearly thirty countries.
Starting from the sea, the village rise up to some two kilometers high from the sea level. When looking up from the city centre at the ground level, you just cannot percept how high the serpentine road will go. Better to go up in the evening to some of the mountain restaurants, and the whole valley with layered settlements will be wide open in dim lights.
Steepness means also quite hevy walking from upper parts to the city centre and to the two lousy overcrowded beaches.
Image is the courtesy of www.positanonline.it; will be replaced soon. |
