el sauzal is really just your average little dusty mexican town in the nothern part of the baja california peninsula, but i keep coming there because the town has one of the nicest and friendliest hostels i have come across in my two decades of travelling the world.
the place is run by maria, a little mexican woman who worked many years in the states to save money up for her little paradise hostel.
maria has taken many abandoned animals in to her home too, so i hope you don´t mind cats and dogs as there are quite a few of them there.
the hostel has many people coming again and again because of the friendly atmospehere.
especially people from nearby california excaping the stress of their normal working life.
el sauzal also has a little beach and a fishing harbour, but the reason why people come here is mainly because of hostel sauzal.
- In a nutshell:this place is a treat to people who liked relaxed lifestyle.

Wow I had never even heard about this place but I feel proud to see that a "paisana" of mine has made such a deep impression on you and keeps you wanting to come back! We need so many more ppl like her in here :)
Yeah, I know the feeling... It is always nice to come back when you like the place and the atmosphere there. And Maria... she seems to be a very special too :)
Exactly the kind of place I enjoy! Thanks for sharing!
a nice hostel, a harbour next to the sea and guys talking about fishing, football and bazoomba girls... that is exactely what I always thought about El Sauzal... ;-)
