And that is when wannabee is a positive word..

Los Angeles is the place where the world comes to chase the american dream.
In the old days it was Klondyke where they were looking for gold, but in the 21st century it is LA where people seek fortune.
And that is everyone from wannabee movie stars to hardworking impoverised latin american migrants who come to seek a life without poverty.

I have been to this city a few times and i kinda started out thinking like many other people that this is pretty ugly, but as i have come back over the years my love for this place is growing to the point where i am ready to call it one of the top 5 cities i have visited in the whole world in 23 years of roaming the globe.

Because LA attracts people from all over the world the city is extremely diverse.
Multi cultural, multi racial and very tolerant cause people who have chosen to come here have a dream and have respect for everyone else with that dream and that makes it one of the most respectful and tolerant cities i have ever been to.
The city has so many parts of town that is dominated by various cultures from around the globe that has come here for a better life and that is the main reason why i love this place to bits.

Talking about Los Angeles as the city of wannabees and entrepreneurs, virtualtourist is one of the best excamples.
This site was founded by a young german university student who had a dream to create a website where people with the love for travelling could gather and share their advice, their dreams and meet likeminded people.
And today we have this site where more than 30000 members log on every month and more than 9 million people come by for advice.
This could mabye have happend elsewhere, but it´s so much more likely to happen in LA cause this is THE place that cherishes and welcomes hardworking people with a dream.
